My best theory is that they know the "masses" won't buy their "progressive" bilge and yearn to have dictatorial power to ram it down the collective throat of "the people." It's for their own good you know! I have read several of Friedman's books and liked them, so I am more than a little disappointed that he too has succumbed to the Kool Aid, as Michael Barone reports.
