We are all about to become accessories to murder. Say what??!!! It's true - Kathleen Sebelius, Obama's HHS Secretary, issued new rules this week implementing the state insurance exchanges that are part of Obamacare, and buried in them is a provision that a $1 surcharge will be added to every premium to pay for abortions. You may think that you can opt out. Think again. If the individual mandate requiring everyone to buy insurance is upheld by the Supreme Court as constitutional, then we are all stuck paying this surcharge and thereby become accomplices to murder.
I think there is a good chance that the Supreme Court will knock out the individual mandate, and probably this surcharge, as violative of the Constitution, but if not we all get to grapple with the question of whether we will be good Germans and meekly go along or begin what will undoubtedly be a painful and prolonged exercise of civil disobedience.
