Rouhani is the new head guy in Iran and is widely perceived in the West as a moderate. Certainly this is true in the Obama Administration which recently concluded an "interim" agreement with the Iranians that goes against about everything the U.S. and the U.N. have ever said about Iran and nukes. I mean this guy isn't like the bad old guys. But is he really such a moderate? What to make of this then:
"According to figures compiled from Iranian media reports, some 190 executions were carried out during the first half of 2013 when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was in power. However, the number of executions only since June when Rouhani replaced Ahmadinejad has reached more than 370."
Ah yes, a sucker is born every minute. Or is it just our new cynical "cut-and-run" foreign policy hiding behind a fig leaf? You decide.
